BC TT Championships
At the BC TT Championships, Team Aviawest was once again well represented on the podium!
Annie Ewart was the fastest of the junior women (though still only 15 years old), finishing 1st in Junior Women with a time that would rank her 10th in Open women. This was her second Provincial Championship win in 2008. (Annie also won the Road Race in June).
Craig Logan finished 1st in U-17 men, with a fast enough time to place him 3rd in Junior men, where he'll be competing in 2009.
And finally another strong ride by Nic Hamilton as he finished 2nd in Espoir men, with a time in the top 6 overall.
Team Aviawest riders regularly train and compete in the local Victoria Cycling League, primarily in mid-week races. Annie Ewart won the Women's overall competition. Craig Logan and Steve Lund (Team Coach) finished 1-2 in the men's B group.
Both Annie and Craig also set new course records for their ages (U-17 men and women) at the local Tuesday TT hosted by Sidney Velo, with Annie covering the 18 km course in 27:15 and Craig going 18 km in 25:16.
